Travel to rural Malawi and have an experience of a lifetime!

Have you ever wanted to experience rural East Africa? Have you wanted to make a difference and work with those who are less privileged? Have you wanted to hike in a rainforest, or see a lion or elephant in the wild? You have the opportunity to do this by traveling with the nonprofit Go! Malawi.

Go! Malawi is a Maine nonprofit that operates community and education programs in the district of Ntchisi, Malawi. They also have a travel program in which students and adults can travel for two or three weeks volunteering and touring in Malawi. The next two trips scheduled are in June – July and October of 2016.

Go! Malawi has brought hundreds of students and adults in the last 10 years to rural Malawi to experience the Malawian culture and gain a global perspective at a reasonable cost. The goal of the trip is two-fold: for their American volunteers to support and inspire the rural Malawian community and young students they work with, as well as for the travelers to be enlightened on 3rd world poverty, diversity, East African culture, global sensitivity and awareness.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join the program leaders of Go! Malawi for a trip scheduled for June 14th-July 6th, or June 21st – July 12th. Interested travelers can sign up for this “voluntourism” trip to Malawi for two or three weeks, working on the edge of the Ntchisi rainforest on conservation, health and education programs and in Senga Bay on the shores of Lake Malawi volunteering in the local schools and rural hospitals. A safari  in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia for a four-day safari, can also be arranged.

An all-adult (over 25) two week trip called “A Taste of Malawi” is planned for mid-October, 2016.

If students or adults wish to truly experience village life and help make a difference please consider traveling with the volunteer run nonprofit Go! Malawi. Interested travelers may contact Janet Littlefield @
