Tamala Zimbah

Tamara Zimbah is 18 years old and receives a scholarship from Go! Malawi so she may attend secondary school. Tamara is one of 6 siblings in her family, and they all go to school. She lives in Ngoza Village and her father is a carpenter and her grandparents are farmers and grow the food for her family. Tamara’s favorite subject is English as she believes it is the class she must work the hardest at. She feels without learning English well she will not be able to earn her secondary school certificate. She wants to go to college, as she believes education is very important and she stated “Education helps children become independent and have a good future.” Tamara’s goals are to finish college and become a police officer as the corruption in Malawi bothers her and she wishes to decrease crime and help develop her country! Keep working hard Tamara!
