Seems like Days Since French Toast…

Sleepless in DC!

I am so tired. After showing my superman underwear to most of Terminal C at Boston’s Logan Airport (I had significant luggage issues this time), I made it to Dulles International Airport. I was so tired when I got off the plane could barely keep my eyes open as I stammered down the white washed corridors looking for some hint of where Ethiopian Airlines was.

I am tired tired tired. I accompanied a very old Ethiopian woman who was walking at my pace and helped pick up her bags as she dropped them every hundred feet or so (one tremendous baggage tumble on the escalator). I had some coffee and French toast to see if that would give me a boast but it did nothing. I want to stretch out on the benches and dose for the next two hours before we board; however, the people who designed this place must have been special little snow flakes. “Everyone is special and everyone gets their own seats!”, they must have shouted as they drew up each individual throne. I wonder if they did it intentionally or if it is just a mere consequence of their bold idealism, but I can’t stretch out on the seats here. I can’t get comfortable and I can’t go to sleep. So I wait for them to announce boarding. Seat “K”, row 24, red sticker. Off to Ethiopia, then to Malawi…
